It allows temporal artery (TA) temperature to be taken at a distance of about 3~5 cm away from the forehead. It can also be used to measure the temperature of a baby-bottle, bath or room temperature by using the Surface Temperature function (This function is in accordance with the Directive 89/336/EEC Electromagnetic Compatibility)
